Howard Nass

Mr. Nass has over 22 years of experience in a wide range of natural resource studies and investigations. He has participated in natural resource projects throughout the southeastern and southwestern United States and is particularly knowledgeable with respect to the trees and plants of the southeast. Mr. Nass is experienced in managing Southern forest types for wildlife habitat, as well as timber production and has over 10 years of experience delineating jurisdictional wetlands.

Mr. Nass has supervised, directed, and participated in the preparation of numerous Environmental Assessments (EAs) and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs) in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Recent projects include the preparation of multiple EAs and Finding of No Significant Impacts (FONSIs) for timber management activities on several National Forests in Mississippi and the preparation of an EA to implement the Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan, U.S. Army Signal Center and Fort Gordon, Georgia. He is currently in charge of preparing multiple EAs and BAs for proposed Department of Homeland Security – office of Border Patrol projects in southern Arizona.

Mr. Nass received a Bachelor of Science Degree in forestry and wildlife management from Louisiana State University.
